Clue: Pre-'87 N.O. transit agcy.
We won't mention that these New Orleans streetcars are on track to the cemeteries; definitely not the 'desired' streetcar, by name or otherwise. It is nice to see these rattlers rolling along Canal Street, the main Crescent City drag for Mardi Gras parades, many other public celebrations, and every day. Once upon a time, before their "main street" comeback, Orleanians could only enjoy the clanging bells and balmy air swirling through the open windows of streetcars on St. Charles. The agency you paid to ride was a five-letter acronym, not today's RTA.
Clue: "Weird" rodeo town
Folks in this western town proudly think of their place as a horse of a different color. No bull. And, there's no denying a city that boasts a lively honky-tonk scene, major tech companies, and world-class opera might suffer an identity crisis. Embracing all aspects of identity is helpful in forestalling the crisis part. Did we mention that eggheads flock to this city's top-flight public university and the cool and curious consult their compasses for SxSW? Heading in the right direction is a critical concern for the cowboy here. He could wind up on the horns of a dilemna.
